A FESTIVAL THAT JAZZES
Just as you give a nickname to a loved kid, here the festival Jazz in Marciac is called JIM, a festival that you will keep close to your heart.

The royal bastide harbours the festival off (free), an area of meeting and sharing that makes JIM unique. Here you collect your best memories. Here the 1 000 volunteers mix with 250 000 festival goers.
During 3 summer weeks, its not Marciac that lives jazz, but jazz that makes Marciac vibrate.
Michel, volunteer for 17 years, and driver of the shuttle bus during the festival, always remembers the evening when he had to collect McCoy Tyner at Tarbes.
The artist wanted a coffee, so I suggested we have one together on the main square (place hotel de ville). I hold on to this amazing memory of sharing a moment with a legend of jazz, chatting with our families and children. Once I had paid the bill, he took the receipt from my hands and wrote McCoyTyner attests to having a coffee with Michel, driver with Jazz in Marciac. It is the only receipt I will keep for my whole life.
