The Toulouse Baroque Ensemble! Founded in 1998 by Michel Brun and a few musician friends, the Toulouse Baroque Ensemble is the fruit of a long history of passion and encounters. This professional orchestra came together around the interpretation of early music. Exalt Bach in all lands! Jean-Sébastien Bach, author of the most beautiful pages of the oratorio, left many cantatas in the usual form Sinfonia - Choir - Arias and recitatives - Chorale. But one day in 1730, he created in Leipzig a Cantata for solo soprano and trumpet that was particularly brilliant and lyrical, far from the sobriety of his first Cantatas. Classified BWV51, this musical treasure is of great virtuosity, both for the soprano and for the trumpeter. This Cantata is called "in ogni tempo", made to be played all year round: a godsend for the Ensemble Baroque de Toulouse! What could be better than the Concerto for traverso and recorder by Telemann, who frequented the Bach house in Leipzig, to complete this festive program? The program: - Concerto in D major by Giuseppe TORELLI - Cantata for soprano and orchestra BWV82a by JS BACH - Concerto in E minor for recorder and transverse flute by GP TELEMANN - Cantata for soprano, natural trumpet and orchestra BWV51 by JS BACH The soloists: Conductor and transverse flute: Michel Brun Soprano: Sara Brunel Natural trumpet: Patrick Pagès Recorder: Stéphanie Cettolo Violins: Laurence Martinaud (solo), Léonore Darnaud Viola: Véronique Delmas-Pellerin Cello: Géraldine Devillières Double bass: Franck Ratajczyk Harpsichord/organ: Lucille Chartrain
