Rural land, where cultivated countryside with passion by thousands of farmers kept a wild side, the beauty of the Gers should in part to the golden color of wheat fields, shimmering expanses of yellow sunflowers and rapeseed, in the green lines of vineyards and cornfields; Each season, east to west, from north to south, Gers offers new colors. Commending the work of the earth by revealing the daily life of peasants in the first half of the twentieth century, the Peasant Museum Gascon, offers on nearly 2 acres, with more than 800 m2 covered, a very rich collection of machines, farm tools and old crafts. You will dive in the heart of traditional culture, before the arrival of electricity and domestic water, at the time the tractor did not yet exist. Step back in time and discover the rural life of yesteryear in the manor house "Bernadette Lacaze" (kitchen, utility room, bedroom, laundry, furniture ...) but also in space " John Capin "(work in the vineyard and wine, farm work, rural artisans ...). Not to mention some curiosities like a crossbow frog, a bicycle with wooden wheels and many other surprises! Finally, take a stroll in the heart of the orchard, its ancient and forgotten varieties. Discovery for some, for others Remember, no one will remain indifferent to the vestiges of a past still close but yet forgotten.
