At 5 p.m. “Lovers’ Choir”, Tiago Rodrigues. Choir of Lovers, by Tiago Rodrigues, is a lyrical tale of two lovers faced with a borderline life or death situation where oxygen begins to become scarce. Two actors/lovers tell us, simultaneously, slightly different versions of the same story, celebrating love when everything is called into question, but without knowing how to proceed with normality. “'We have time,' repeats the couple who, in front of us, unfold their entire story in one (too) short hour of performance. Time to meet, seduce, love, dine, stroll, work, escape, then reconcile. The time to grow old together and above all not to see the end of the film interrupted midway at the dawn of a life together, because one evening, overcome by suffocation in front of her TV, the young woman thought her last time arrived. Death will come later. In the meantime, the words of Tiago Rodrigues slipped in. They travel with velvety steps the long path of a daily life built by two lovers. It's beautiful, soft and caressing like a “chabada” hummed on a windy beach. This representation, ideally embodied by Alma Palacios and David Geselson (alternating with Grégoire Monsaingeon), presents itself to us in the simplest form: two bodies, two voices, a bare stage.
