For an evening, come and watch the play “Odyssey” by Pauline Bayle, based on Homer. Synopsis: After ten years of war forging his worth in iron and pain, Ulysses wants to return home. As he leaves the shores of Troy, he hopes that the return will be as quick as the war was long. But for nine years he has been wandering in vain on the sea and his native land is constantly disappearing beneath the folds of the sea. So Ulysses worries: what if he had gone through a war from which there is no returning? What if, despite his value, he didn't have enough to pay the price of the return trip? While The Iliad tells how to go to war, The Odyssey tells how to return from it. Throughout Ulysses' adventures, the portrait of a man made of hollows and contradictions is woven who, subject to the contrary winds of destiny, is ready to do anything to save his life and find his loved ones. In these times when protest and revolt are intruding into the public space while inequalities are growing and withdrawal threatens, what if the voice of Homer came to light the glow of a new perspective?
